Landscaping in Lacey, WA
Lacey is right next door to Olympia, where our shop is. Its yards run from 1950s lots in Tanglewilde to newer HOA neighborhoods in Hawks Prairie. We build patios, keep yards sharp and handle the rest.
Neighborhoods we serve
Hawks Prairie · Edgewater · Jubilee · Tanglewilde · Horizon Pointe · Meridian Campus · Pleasant Glade · Indian Summer · Central Lacey · The Lakes (Hicks, Long and Pattison Lakes)
What yards here deal with
- Fast-draining ground. Much of Lacey sits on glacial outwash: sand and gravel left by meltwater. It drinks rain quickly, which is great for patio bases and tough on summer lawns.
- Aquifer protection. Lacey maps Category I critical aquifer recharge areas, where rain soaks down to the wells the city drinks from. Stormwater rules here are strict.
- Summer watering rules. From June 1 to September 30, Lacey runs a mandatory odd/even watering schedule, with no outdoor watering on Fridays. Your irrigation timer has to follow it.
- HOA standards. Hawks Prairie, Edgewater and Jubilee fall under one community association, and Horizon Pointe has its own HOA. Fences, patios and plantings often need approval first.
- Lake lots. Hicks, Pattison and Long Lakes are glacial kettle lakes that flow into Woodland Creek. Waterfront yards slope to the shore and need care with runoff.

Lacey FAQ
I'm in Hawks Prairie or Horizon Pointe. Can you work with my HOA's rules?
Yes. For new work, we plan around your HOA's approval process.
What are Lacey's fence limits?
Lacey caps front-yard fences at 3 feet and side and rear fences at 7 feet. Anything over 7 feet needs a permit.
Can my sprinklers run every day in summer?
Not in Lacey. June 1 through September 30, watering follows an odd/even schedule with no watering on Fridays. We can set your controller to match.
Do you work in Tanglewilde?
Yes. Tanglewilde is part of our Lacey-area service area, wide older lots and all.
Can you de-ice our driveway and walks?
Yes. When a cold snap hits, we de-ice driveways and walkways and do light snow plowing.
