Information We Collect

Information you give us

• Quote and assessment requests. Our "Request a Free Estimate" and "Book a Free Assessment" buttons open online request forms hosted by Jobber, the scheduling and invoicing software we use. Those forms collect whatever you enter, typically your name, phone number, email address, property address and details about the job.
• Contact forms on our website. Some pages of our website (such as our Contact Us page) have a form hosted by Squarespace that asks for your name, email address, phone number, address, the service you're interested in, a job description and a preferred day for us to come out. We receive what you submit by email and in our Squarespace account.
• Phone calls. When you call us, we receive your phone number and whatever you tell us, such as your name, address and what you need done. We do not record phone calls.
• Emails. When you email us, we receive your email address and anything in your message or attachments, such as photos of your yard.
• Text messages. If you text us or agree to receive texts from us, we receive your mobile number and the content of the messages.
• Facebook and Instagram lead forms. If you fill out a form in one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram, Meta may pre-fill some fields from your profile (such as your name, phone number, email address and ZIP code), which you can edit before you submit. We receive what you submit, along with your answers to the form's questions (for example, what kind of project you have, your timing and your property type). We use lead-form information only to respond to your request and follow up about the project you asked about, unless you separately agree to something else.
• Google Business Profile bookings and reviews. If you request a booking through our Google Business Profile, or post a review of us there, the booking request and the review are shared between Google and our scheduling software (Jobber) so we can respond to your request and keep track of reviews. Reviews you post on Google are public.
• Payments. If you pay us online through Jobber's Client Hub, by card or by bank transfer (ACH), including when you save a card on file or add a tip, your payment is handled by Jobber Payments, which is processed by Stripe. Your card or bank details go to the payment processor. We see only limited payment details, such as the payment method type (card or bank transfer), the last 4 digits and expiration date of a saved card, and the amount, date and status of each payment. We do not see or keep your full card or bank account numbers.

Please don't send us sensitive information we don't need, such as health or medical details, Social Security numbers, or bank or card numbers, through our forms, email or text. To pay online, use the payment option in your invoice or Client Hub instead. If you need an accommodation for a site visit, just tell us what you need. You don't have to explain why.

Information collected automatically

• Our website host. Our website is hosted on Squarespace. Squarespace sets its own cookies and collects technical information about visits, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view.
• Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, such as which pages are viewed, how long visits last, how people found us, and roughly where visitors are located. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to collect this.
• Advertising tags (Google and Meta). We use the Google tag for Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure how our ads perform, and we use the Meta Pixel to show our ads to people who have visited our site. These tools can record visits to our pages and actions such as clicking our call button or our quote request buttons, and they use cookies and similar technology. We use Google Ads conversion measurement: certain actions on our site, such as clicking to call us or clicking to request a quote, are reported to Google so we can measure how our ads perform. We also use Google Ads remarketing: Google may add visitors to our site to audience lists that we can use to show our ads to those people when they later use Google services or other websites and apps. Google and Meta collect this information directly from your browser when you visit our site and use it to provide measurement services. Google and Meta may also use it to target and deliver ads, including ads on other websites and apps. Google and Meta may connect this information with your Google or Meta account if you have one. See "Your Choices" below for how to opt out of ad personalization.

We do not control what Jobber, Stripe, Squarespace, Google or Meta collect on their own. Their privacy policies, linked below, explain their practices.

How We Use Information

• To respond to your requests, calls, texts and emails
• To prepare quotes and estimates and set up on-site assessments
• To schedule and perform work, and to communicate with you about it
• To send invoices, take payments and handle billing
• To send you texts about your requests and jobs, and any marketing emails described below
• To understand how our website is used and improve it
• To measure how well our ads work, such as how many people called or clicked a quote button after seeing an ad
• To show our ads to people who have visited our website (retargeting)
• To protect our business, website and customers, and to comply with the law

Text Messages and Marketing Emails

Service texts

If you give us your mobile number when you request a quote or schedule work, we may text you about that request or job, for example to confirm an appointment, let you know we're on the way, or send a quote or invoice link. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop these texts or HELP for help, or call us at (360) 701-1399. After you reply STOP, we will send one text confirming that you've opted out. Texts from us may come from (360) 873-5901.

Marketing texts

We do not currently send promotional text messages. If we start, we'll send them only to people who have separately agreed to receive them, such as by checking the optional marketing-text box on our request form. Agreeing is never required to get a quote or service. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP (or STOP MKT for marketing messages only).

We do not share or sell mobile phone numbers or text-message opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share them only with the service providers that deliver our texts for us.

Marketing emails

If we send you marketing emails, every one will include an unsubscribe link and our mailing address. We process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. Even after you unsubscribe, we may still email you about quotes, jobs, invoices or other business you have with us.

Who We Share Information With

We share information with companies that help us run our business and our website:

• Jobber: hosts our quote and assessment request forms, and is the software we use to manage requests, quotes, scheduling, online booking, customer texts and emails, invoicing and reviews from our Google Business Profile.
• Squarespace: hosts our website and its contact forms.
• Google: provides Google Analytics and Google Ads, which receive information about website visits and ad activity as described above, and hosts our Google Business Profile, where you can request a booking or post a review.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram): provides the Meta Pixel and our Facebook and Instagram ads, including lead forms.
• Payment processor: Jobber Payments, processed by Stripe, handles card and bank (ACH) payments made through Jobber's Client Hub, including saved cards and tips.
• Other service providers: companies that provide our business email and phone services, and professional advisers such as our accountant, who receive information only as needed to provide their services to us.

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not sell or rent customer or lead lists. As described above, our website uses Google and Meta advertising tools, and those companies receive information about visits to our site and use it for ad measurement and targeting. Some state privacy laws may treat that as "sharing" for advertising. You can limit it using the choices below.

We may also disclose information if we believe the law, a court order or a government request requires it; to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, our crews, the public or us; or to a buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the information transferred.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Our site uses cookies set by Squarespace to run the website, and uses cookies from Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel for analytics and ad measurement as described above. You can see the cookies Squarespace uses on Squarespace's cookie page.

These tools may let you limit how information about your visits to our site and other sites is used for personalized ads. Each works under its own terms, may apply only to the browser, device or account you use at the time, and may not stop all ads or all data collection.

Our website does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals or to Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. You can still use the choices below.

Your Choices

• Google Analytics opt-out. Google offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics from collecting your visits: Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Google ad settings. You can control personalized ads from Google at My Ad Center.
• Meta ad settings. If you use Facebook or Instagram, you can manage your ad preferences in Meta Accounts Center (sign-in required), and learn how to control the use of your activity from other businesses in Meta's Help Center.
• Industry opt-out tools. You can opt out of interest-based ads from many participating companies at YourAdChoices.com (Digital Advertising Alliance).
• Browser cookie controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block all cookies, some parts of the website may not work as expected.
• Texts and emails. Reply STOP to any text from us, or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. You can also call or email us to opt out.
• Contacting us. You can ask us about the information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing office@lawnboyscompanies.com. These requests are handled by our owner or office manager. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may keep some information when we need it to finish a job, for tax, accounting or warranty records, to resolve disputes, or because the law requires it. If you ask us to delete your information, we will also remove you from our marketing lists.

How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. For example, we rely on established service providers for our website and job software and limit access to customer information to people who need it to do their work. No website, app, email or text system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee the security of information you send us. If we learn of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep customer, job and request records (in our job software, email and phone records) for as long as we have a business relationship with you and afterward for as long as needed for tax, accounting, warranty and legal purposes. We keep records of your text-message and email consent and opt-out choices indefinitely, so that we can continue to honor them. Google Analytics data is kept according to the data-retention setting in our Google Analytics account. Google, Meta, Jobber, Stripe and Squarespace keep the information they collect according to their own policies.

Children

Our website and services are meant for adults arranging landscaping and property work, and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Effective date" at the top of this page. If we make a significant change to how we use information we already have, such as using it for a new kind of marketing, we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
