Paver Patios in Lacey, WA
Lacey's sandy, gravelly ground is about as good as it gets for a patio base. The trick is the paperwork and the water.
What's different about Lacey patios
- Outwash soil. Much of Lacey sits on glacial outwash. It drains fast and compacts well under a patio base.
- Stormwater rules. Lacey maps Category I aquifer recharge areas and requires site checks before stormwater is soaked into the ground. Where your patio's water goes matters.
- HOA review. In Hawks Prairie, Edgewater, Jubilee and Horizon Pointe, new hardscapes often need association sign-off. We'll give you a clean plan to submit.
- Small new-build lots. Lots in newer areas like Horizon Pointe can run around 4,500 to 7,000 square feet. Side-yard walkways and compact patios make the most of them.

Lacey patio FAQ
Does my HOA need to approve a patio?
Often, yes. Check your association's rules. We'll give you a plan you can submit.
My lot is small. Is a patio worth it?
Yes. A side-yard walkway or a compact patio along the house can turn dead space into usable space.
What's the process?
A free on-site assessment, a design, a clear estimate, then the install.
